  • The 'bootrec /Fixboot' is a recovery console command that allows us to write a new boot sector to the system partition. Though it can only write a boot sector compatible with the sector it is writing from. For example, if your operating system is Windows 8, it can only write a boot sector compatible with Windows 8.
